How to add a deadline to an application, job posting, or contest.

I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.”

One of the most requested features is the ability to add deadlines to a submission or application category. Now you can. Every category or job listing has an easily editable deadline input under the “General Guidelines.” This deadline will show up in the guidelines and the listing will automatically turn off once the deadline passes. It gives your organization an easy way to communicate upcoming deadlines and increases traffic to your site.

Here’s a short video on adding a deadline:

Math is hard. It would be nice to have the expiration date and time listed alongside the number of days and hours… would make input into planner easier. Glad all is going well…

      Hi Dan,
This is how it works for the final month. The last 30 days are done as a count down, before that it’s just the date.

      Thanks!

      Best,
      Michael

Our deadlines happen at a specific date AND time, such as November 1 at 5:00 pm. Can we add a time as well?

      Hi Kelsey,
You presently can’t do time as well. It defaults to midnight. But there’s a hack around this… change your org’s Timezone (under Profile) to something that is 7 hours ahead of your actual timezone, then set the date. This would for all intents and purposes set it 5pm your time.

We do plan to add time, but not there yet.

      Thanks!

      Best,
      Michael
