Not Impossible Labs was founded on a simple concept: Nothing is impossible.
The lab develops creative solutions that address real-world problems, like The Eyewriter, an open source, low-cost, DIY device that enables individuals with paralysis to communicate and make art with their eyes. Or Project Daniel, an initiative that deployed the world’s first 3D printing prosthetic lab and training facility in South Sudan in an effort to provide accessible prostheses to conflict-stricken refugee communities.
Today, Not Impossible is working with Submittable to celebrate the work of other change-makers by accepting applications for the Not Impossible Awards.
“We are looking for makers, hackers, engineers, artists, and companies who are working on innovative projects with a humanitarian heart,” explains Grace Le, director of original content at Not Impossible, “It doesn’t matter if you’re a single person working in your garage or a team of people growing a new company, so long as the technology is being created to help people who need it the most.”
Recipients will receive full travel and accommodation to showcase their work during the 2018 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, NV, along with world-class mentorship from industry leaders and experts in fields ranging from electronics to neuroscience. In addition, awardees will receive opportunities to incubate and accelerate their work in strategic partnerships with members of the Not Impossible network.
Not Impossible is accepting award submissions August 11, 2017 through November 13, 2017.
